FRAMES: AN ACADEMY AFFAIRNational Academy of Design, New York, NY; Spring Gala ‘FRAMES.’ Original antique picture frames from the collection of Eli Wilner & Company adorned walls throughout the Academy, lending their gilded splendor to the festivities of the evening. In addition, there was a silent auction of artist-designed frames furnished by Eli Wilner that were each distinctively executed by many National Academicians such as Wolf Kahn and Gregory Amenoff. The gala provided support for exhibitions and student scholarships and honored Senator Roy Goodman and James Dicke II. Click here to view images from this event.


METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART, Lehman Wing, New York, NY. An extraordinary installation of European picture frames. The installation included examples of European frames from the 15th Century through the early 19th Century and some of the finest examples of period frames from Italy, Spain, France, England and other European countries.
